I Love Singapore; a confession of an amateur traveler

This time, I would like to share my feeling about Singapore. I love this country since the first time I stepped my feet in. I found so much easiness and comfort travelling around this busy lil’ country, so here are the reasons why I love SG:

1. The public transportation system

The transportation system is at the top of all reasons I have. Why? Because, with many kinds of offered, it’s easy for me hopping around and get to the famous attraction in Singapore. They have MRT, LRT, Busses, and Tourist Busses, almost everything. You name it Lah! And the transportation system is covered all the area of SG.

For the tourist, don’t worry! They provided day pass that can be used to almost all public transportation. Yihaaaa!

2. Cleanliness

As the bussiest city in Asian Region, Singapore is also known as one of the cleanest city in the world. No doubt for it. Rubish bins are easy to find and everyone the rule. They have a of do and don’t in terms of keeping the environment clean. One thing wowing me that, Singapore even has s which designed to clean up the river. Sorry for being over reacted on it, please understand that I haven’t seen something like that before.

Ps: don’t you dare chewing gum in Singapore, It’s banned!

3. Informative

You won’t get lost in SG! Information board could easily found. Once you arrived in Singapore, there are plenty of tourist information centres that would gladly share information about SG. Free maps, event & attraction brochure are everywhere. Strolling in the city is also very safe, the local are willing to give you direction once you confuse with the route. Just dare yourself to ASK.

4. The Foods

Since I love to eat Chinese Food, Singapore is one of the best place (for me) for it. Bak kut teh is my favorite, it’s simply meat dish cooked in broth. The broth is so yumm and fresh. Black grass jelly drink (Es Cincau Hitam in Bahasa) is the best drink to accompany with. Other than that, Indian and western food are almost everywhere in SG.

5. Architecture

Strolling in Chinatown and Little India or even next to the river at Boat Quay is amazingly fun. I love the architecture, It’s like Im going back to the past life. The old Chinese house, colorful window, british influence buildings makes me so happy to be there. My hotel offers a river view with a giant wheel and the Marina Bay building as the background. What a scenic view for waking up and enjoying breakfast!

6. They speak English!!!

This one is quite important, Singaporean ENGLISH. Its quite easy to communicate with the seller, accommodation staff or even stranger in the street. All information also is in English, so I have no reason to not in love with Singapore. I just can’t wait until my next visit to SG!
