Maluk and Sekongkang-Sumbawa Indonesia


After Teluk Saleh, Arifin and I continued to the west part and reached Maluk and Sekongkang. Maluk and Sekongkang are famous with their surfing spots. Plenty of surfers came to ride their board with the wave of Maluk and Sekongkang. Located approx. 1.5-2 hours of riding from Alas Regency, we enjoyed the view of hills of teak forests and the famous Newmount Mining. The winding slippery road made us become more careful. A little negligent will made you may end up in one of the valley by the road. The amount of big cows found plenty along the road, and the number of people on the street were countable.

We took a little walk on the beach and ate mangos that we bought at the local. The wind quite big and the weather were cold, so I didn't swim. We didn’t spend the night at Maluk or Sekongkang, we went to Pototano harbor, chasing the ferry and heading back to Lombok.
